Laura Ellen Wallace was born September 23, 1929 in Palmer, Missouri.  She was the fourth of five children born to Embry and Mary Lee (Roddie) Henderson. Laura attended school in Missouri. Laura married Clyde Segers on November 18, 1948 and together had sons Douglas and Charles. They moved to Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Laura married Allen Wallace in 1953 and relocated to Hastings, Nebraska and was later blessed with another marriage to Andrew Reaves. Laura worked for years as a cook for the Hastings Head Start Program. Laura loved gardening, cooking, and enjoyed taking care of her 7 boys and 2 girls, as well as watching All-Star Wrestling. She was a “happy, go lucky, gal”.

Survivors include; children and spouses, Doug Segers, Omaha, Charles and Edith Segers, Omaha, Sam Wallace, Lincoln, George Wallace, Lincoln, Rose Mary Washington, Omaha, Terry Wallace, Omaha, Geraldine Wallace, Omaha; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Angeline Godbolt, Omaha; Nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Laura was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, sons, Ricky Ray Wallace and Roy Rofus Wallace, brothers, Aubry Henderson, Marvin Henderson, Earl Henderson, Prince Henderson, Charles Henderson.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Friday, New Hope United Methodist Church, 1205 N. 45^th Street, Lincoln. Visitation will be 5 pm to 7 pm Thursday, Trump Funeral Services, 1600 W. “O” Street, Lincoln & one hour before services at the church. Interment, 3 pm Friday, Parkview Cemetery, Hastings.
