Lloyd Donald “Don” Davis , age 99 of Lincoln, died August 16, 2017. Staff Sgt., United States Army Air Force, WW II veteran. Born February 18, 1918 in Max, NE to Everett C. and Bessie B. (Bogel) Davis. 1936 Lincoln High School graduate and 1942 UNL graduate. Founding member, Crestwood Christian Church. Lincoln home builder and construction manager. In retirement, master gardener and potter.
Don is preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Mabel (Pierson). Loving family members include his children, Gary (Pam) Davis, Steve (Wendy) Davis, Nancy (Richard) Schwanke; six grandchildren, Toby (Mark) Matson, Joshua (Kristen) Davis, Hanni Schwanke, David (Lindy) Schwanke, Jordan (Sandy) Davis, Aurora (Glenn) Robey; 13 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life Services: Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Crestwood Christian Church, 8000 “A” Street, Lincoln. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Great Plains Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, 1500 South 70th Street, Suite 201, Lincoln, NE 68506. Private family burial prior to services.
