Aurelia P. Tapley, age 94, Lincoln, passed away September 29, 2017 at her home in Lincoln. She was born July 31, 1923 in Garland, NE to Ben and Agnes (Koehn) Plautz. She was Past President for the National Insurance Women’s Division and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln.
She is survived by her sisters, Bernice Plautz and Geraldine (Darwin) Bacon; brother, Ormand Plautz; Nieces and nephews; Great nieces and great nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, nephew Dan Plautz.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 724 South 12th Street (12th & H Streets), Lincoln. Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, 6700 South 14th Street, Lincoln. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church. Condolences may be left at trumpmemorials.com. I met Aurelia in 1978 when I joined The Insurance Women of Lincoln, Inc. She was a great mentor. I followed in her footsteps and became National President of NAIW in 1994-95. She encouraged me and many others to be our best in the insurance industry. She will be missed. Deepest sympathy to her sisters, brother, nieces and nephews.
