Ardis Esther Hochstetler, age 85, Crete, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2018 at the Wilber Care Center.  She was born July 12, 1933 in Tama, Iowa to Ivan and Florence (Bush) Flowers.  She became an LPN after her children were born and was a care giver her whole life.  Ardis married Maynard Hochstetler on May 28, 1951 and to this union seven children were born, Dela, Doris, Maynard, Cindy, Betty, Becky, and David.  She enjoyed fishing, quilting, auctions, garage sales, but most of all, she loved taking care of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and serving the Lord.

Ardis is survived by her children and spouses, Dela and John Miller, Doris and Dave Ritchie, Maynard and Donna Hochstetler, Betty and Michael Jolliffe, Becky Hochstetler, David and Shelley Hochstetler; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Sister, Rosalie Shultz and family of Atlanta, GA, Sister-in-law, Janice Hochstetler, brother-in-law, Leo Kroll, Numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, Maynard, Parents, Ivan, Florence, and Adela, daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jim Scherer, grandson, Ryan, granddaughter, Amy.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at New Haven Baptist Church, 2140 Hawthorne Avenue, Crete with Pastor Dan Botterbrodt officiating.  Visitation with family will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 12, 2018 at Trump Funeral Services, 1600 West “O” Street, Lincoln, and one hour before services at the church Tuesday.  Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Crete.  Condolences may be left at trumpmemorials.com.  Trump Funeral Services, 1600 West “O” Street, Lincoln are handling the arrangements.
