Roger Lee Richtarik, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021, at his home in Fairbury, Nebraska, at the age of 66.  Roger was born February 17, 1955 in Crete, Nebraska to Edward and Helen (Belohlavy) Richtarik.  He was the youngest of five children.  Roger was a graduate of Wilber-Clatonia High School in 1973.  He was united in marriage to Michelle Curtis; to this union four children were born, Jason, Rustin, Kristina and Jennifer.

They lived on a farm outside of Wilber, Nebraska until they divorced.  Roger lived in Lincoln, Nebraska and worked as a millwright welder and traveled all over the country for Dynamic Fusion in Lincoln for many years.  Roger was known for many things and will be missed by his family and friends.  Roger was known for drinking coffee and tea from a giant mug, playing poker and pool with his friends, going to auctions, garage sales and casinos, shooting blue rock, wearing bizarre hats and shirts in public, supporting his grandkids in all of their events, his love for Husker Football and his love for Wilber.

Roger is survived by his children, Jason Richtarik of Grand Island, Nebraska, Rustin Richtarik of Lincoln, Kristina (Richtarik) Norris and her husband Shawn of Hastings, Nebraska and Jennifer Richtarik of Fairbury; four grandchildren, Sydni Johnson, Blake Norris and Jordan Norris of Hastings, Drake Richtarik of Fairbury; one great grandchild Skylynn Norris of Hastings.  Roger’s sister Joy Doty of Lincoln, his brother-in-law Jack Douglass of Lincoln, brother-in-law Eugene Girmus of Friend, sister-in-law Joyce Richtarik of Wilber; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Roger was proceeded in death by his parents Helen and Edward Richtarik; brother Frank Richtarik; sisters Delores Girmus, Lorraine Douglass, ex-wife Michelle (Curtis) Summers, and great grandson Samuel Norris.

Celebration of Life services will be held Sunday, November 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wilber American Legion, Louis-Milan, Post #101, 310 Memorial Drive, Wilber.  Memorials in care of the family for donations to be made at a later date in Roger’s memory.  Condolences may be left at trumpmemorials.com.  Trump Funeral Services, 1600 West “O” Street, Lincoln, Nebraska 68528.
