Jerry Alan Junker, son of Marvin and Joyce(Mapel) Junker, was born June 11, 1962 in Fairbury, Nebraska, and died on December 17, 2019 at the age of 57.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Junker.
He is survived by his mother Joyce Minge; brother Kevin (Lisa) Junker, and sister Debra Junker-Post; daughters Ashley (Nathan) Nutsch and Madisyn Sasse, and sons Nick (Kelsey) Junker and Jakob Sasse, stepson Bryson Mosher; Niece Rachael Junker, Nephews Ryan, Jackson and Austin Junker; Four grandchildren Korey, Kate, Cooper, and Carter Nutsch.
Jerry was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Fairbury and confirmed at American Lutheran Church in Fairbury, Nebraska. Jerry attended Fairbury schools but completed his schooling with a GED. He was a jack of all trades, but he loved driving a truck for Lambriars for many years. He also enjoyed working at Region V. One of Jerry’s hobbies include being on a pool league and traveling to tournaments. He also enjoyed playing golf and watching sporting events.
On June 14,1986, he married his first wife, Marcia Shaw. They lived in Santee, Nebraska for two years, then Fairbury, Nebraska, for two years, then came to Cuba, Kansas in 1990. Of this union came Ashley and Nick. Jerry remarried on April 1, 2005 to Hannah Reed. They lived in Belleville, Kansas. Of this union came; stepson Bryson Mosher, son Jakob and daughter Madisyn. A few years ago, he moved back to Fairbury, Nebraska, where he lived until his death.
Memorial services are to be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Fairbury on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 10:00 am. Memorials may be sent to Trump Memorial, 1600 West “O” Street, Lincoln, Nebraska or to the church in Fairbury. Condolences may be left at trumpmemorials.com.
