Betty Ann Davis, Lincoln, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025 at the age of 79. She was born to John and Irene Davis and grew up in Hebron, NE. Betty graduated from Hebron High School in 1964 where she was active in chorus as well as concert and marching band and a member of the National Honor Society.
Following high school, Betty attended Lincoln General School of Nursing and graduated in 1967. She devoted 44 years to her nursing career, working primarily in the operating room until her retirement in 2011.
Betty was married to Tom Vallilee for fifteen years. In 1993, she fulfilled a lifelong dream by purchasing an acreage where she could care for her own horses. She lived there for 19 years, lovingly tending to her horses, dogs, two parrots and a groundhog affectionately named Chuckie. After retiring, Betty moved to Lincoln to be closer to family and friends.
She is survived by her sister, Dixie Davis, (spouse Kurt Saltzman); sister-in-law Erlene Davis; nephews and nieces John Dageforde (Teri), Matt Dageforde (Jen), Kris Peterson (Jay), Jana Post (Troy), Eric Marsh (Erica), Darcy Clymer (Byron) along with many cousins, friends and other relatives. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, sister Carol Marsh, brother-in-law Doug Marsh and brother Stan Davis.
Honoring Betty’s wishes, a private family burial service will be held at a later date. Condolences may be left at trumpmemorials.com. Trump Funeral Services, 1600 West “O” Street, Lincoln.
Remembering Betty’s life covers 61 years for me. We started nursing school in 1964. She loved her animals and even in the later years always had her cat. She and Tom were an active part of my son’s growning up years. She will be missed by her LGH Soul Sisters. Betty is now free from pain and at peace.
Even though Betty lived in Hebron and I lived in Bruning… just 15 miles apart.. we did not meet until we became classmates at Lincoln General. She became a good friend and she rode with me to Bruning on weekends to visit our families.
Betty, Lynn and I drove to Pennsylvania together to be summer camp nurses … lots of fun adventures and more bonding.
Betty was a kind and gentle soul… always with a smile and kind word.
