Arthur C. Remington, 90, of Lincoln and formerly Holdrege, Nebraska entered into his heavenly home Sunday May 22, 2016. Born September 14, 1925 in Holbrook, Nebraska to Harrison and Pearl Remington the 8th of 11 children. He served in the commissary of the US Navy during WWII. Married Phyllis Ann Butherus on June 4th, 1945 to which God blessed this union with four children He worked in Holdrege at Allmand Brothers on welders, Kansas Nebraska Gas Company, Holdrege Nursery/Irrigation, and Christian Homes as grounds supervisor. He was active in the Christian Missionary Alliance and Evangelical Free Churchs and served on the board, as a deacon, lay minister, and taught Sunday school. Preceded in death by his wife Phyllis in 1985, he married Marcia Oberg on December 2nd, 1989. After retirement in 2004, they relocated to Lincoln. Art is survived by his wife Marcia, sons Art Jr. (Miriam) of PA, Dennis (Jacque) of Fremont, daughters Judy (Roger) Reek of MN, Nancy (Mark) Wells of Axtell. Stepchildren Libby (Mark) Hoffmeyer of Lincoln, Anne (Kevin) Landhuis of IA, Nels (Ann) Oberg of MN, and Jolanta Koepke, WA. 25 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Sister Marilyn (Gene) Stark, Brother in law Leroy Duchek, Sisters in law Delta Remington and Pauline Magnum and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by wife Phyllis, parents, 9 siblings, numerous brother and sisters in law, daughter in law Charlene Remington and step son Greg Koepke. Memorial Service Friday 5/27/16 at 2 pm at First Free Evangelical Church, Lincoln. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Children Camp Scholarships, Carol Joy Holling Camp, 2744 Ranch Road, Ashland, Ne 68003
