Jesse Alan Hoffer, 45, of Lincoln, passed away December 12, 2019. Born September 19, 1974 in Lincoln, Jesse was a funny, spontaneous, adventurous and outgoing individual who loved his family and football, especially the Green Bay Packers. He was a jack of all trades, spending many years using his skills working on pools, in the HVAC industry, and most recently was proud to be the Maintenance Engineer for a group of hotels in Lincoln.  Jesse was an avid Jeopardy watcher and regularly schooled everyone with his knowledge. He loved to attend his kids’ sporting practices and events.

In his younger years, Jesse was lucky enough to travel with his parents all around the United States.  He visited all 50 states by the age of 16. He was known by many for his skateboarding skills and the ramp that Toddy built for him in the backyard. He also had a love for old school hip hop which continued to this day.  This past year was one of his best! Jesse traveled to the NFL Draft in Nashville with his boys and had the time of his life. He started regularly attending Immanuel Lutheran Church and found a home there. In October, Jesse, Kaleb, Alex and Tyler traveled to watch the Packers play. This year afforded many positive amends and unforgettable memories to be made.

He is survived by: sons, Kaleb and Kaden; daughters, Madison and Avery; stepdaughter, Alex (Tyler) Wenzl; ex-wife, Amanda Ross-Hoffer; brother, Michael (Jane) Hoffer, all of Lincoln; sister, Patricia (Tom) Sabata of Punta Gorda, FL; nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Preceded in death by parents, Julius and Rogene Hoffer.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 20, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2001 S. 11th Street, Lincoln.  In honor of Jesse’s life-long love for the Green Bay Packers, we invite you to sport Packers, Green or Yellow apparel. Memorials to the Family or People’s City Mission.
