Frederick C. (Freddy) Joslin passed away peacefully on January 10th, 2020 at Holmes Lake Rehab. Center in Lincoln, Ne. after battling liver cancer.  He was 71 years of age.  Freddy was born October 5, 1948 in Lincoln to Leonard B. Dieterich and Wanda Folkner.  He was placed in Whitehall Family Resource Center where he was adopted by Donald & Lillian (Bovill) Joslin.  At the age of 7 he joined a new brother Dennis at home. Freddy’s school days were at Holdrege Public Schools where enjoyed sports with many teams and played the saxophone.  He graduated with the class of 1967. 

 After high school he joined the Army, served with the Airborne Artillery unit of the 172nd Infantry.  While in the service, he married Sandra Lewey and to this union two children, Crista Ann & Frederick C. Jr. were born prior to their parents’ divorce.  Freddy had many passions in his life; hunting, fishing, Native American spirituality, Nebraska Huskers, Kansas City Chiefs & Royals, motorcycles, and especially family and friends.

Freddy was preceded in death by his biological parents, adoptive parents, grandparents, brother Randy (Junior) Kratke, and sister Linda Dieterich.  He leaves behind children Crista Ann Torres & husband Mike of Houston, Texas and Frederick Charles Joslin Jr. of Omaha as well as his birth brother Jim Corder of Almeda, California and brother Dennis Joslin of Ravenna.  Grandchildren are Christy, Destiny, Blake & Alicia Torres; and special nephew Jeremy Kratke (Nicole) of Lincoln. He also leaves his “cuz” Jane Donadio of Holdrege and special love, Donna (Anderson) Lehner of Holdrege.

Trump Memorial & Funeral Services in Lincoln is in charge of arrangements.  There will be no visitation as his family is honoring his wish for cremation.  A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later time.
