Duane Dee Cecrle, age 90, Milligan, passed away February 25, 2020 at The Heritage in Fairbury. Duane Dee Cecrle was born to Joseph E. Cecrle and Clara Kolar Cecrle on August 5, 1929. He attended Milligan Public School graduating with the class of 1946. After graduation he entered the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1951-1953. On his return home, he worked as an auto mechanic at Michl service station. He always loved a challenge, and in most cases was able to accomplish what he started. No matter what, it had to be perfect. On July 19, 1959 Duane married Marlene Niederklein of Tobias, and on January 29, 1961 a daughter Wendy was born.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 2, 2020 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 510 South Summit Street, Ohiowa with Pastor Jim Germer officiating. Inurnment will be in the Ohiowa Cemetery with military honors provided by Milligan American Post #240. Condolences may be left at trumpmemorials.com.
