Margie was born August 21, 1936 in Lincoln, Nebraska to her loving parents Joe and Lenora.  In her early years and throughout her life, she loved to help her mother and care for her siblings.  She was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church and later attended Lincoln Northeast High School.  Margie met the love of her life Wayne and shortly after, they married.  Spending 65 wonderful years together, they were as deeply in love as the day they were married.  They provided a warm loving (clean) home for their children, Johnny and Peggy.  She looked forward to holiday gatherings with her family and picnics in the park.

Margie was a warm, compassionate and vibrant woman who always went out of her way to help others, no matter what.  She was deeply devoted to her family, an amazing Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, and Great Aunt.  Margie was a loyal Husker football fan and often spent time bowling and playing bingo with her sisters.  She had a deep and close relationship with all 9 of her siblings.  She enjoyed gardening and spending time in her yard and flower beds.  Margie loved animals, feeding squirrels and birds in her garden, and spoiling the family pets.

As an amazing homemaker, Margie always took great pride in the home her and Wayne built together, (which she kept immaculately spotless).  You could always find her in the kitchen, preparing delicious homemade meals or desserts.  She loved giving others gifts, whether it was bought, crocheted or just a batch of lovingly baked cookies or brownies.  Margie would always place the need of others above her own, and she never missed an opportunity to help.

Margie reached the end of her 8-year battle with cancer on March 1st, 2020 and left behind a legacy of love.
