Kelly Ann Dalby, 45, of Lincoln, went to be with her Lord, Monday, February 14th, 2022 in Lincoln.  She was born December 17th, 1976 in St. Paul, Nebraska, the daughter of Kathy (Siekman) Dalby and Charles Dalby.  Kelly was a beautiful person, both inside and out.  She had a strong faith in the Lord and took on every medical battle with courage and determination.  She loved life.  She always wore her heart on her sleeve.  You always knew what she was thinking and wasn’t afraid to voice her opinion.  If you knew Kelly, you were her loyal friend for life!

Kelly was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis in 1994.  She had several health complications, surgeries and procedures and was a patient at numerous Medical Centers throughout the Midwest. She was recently diagnosed with Cancer, but chemotherapy was discontinued due to the severity of her condition.  In the past several years she had weekly visits to the Bryan Medical Center Specialty Clinic for infusions.  The nurses at the Specialty Clinic were her best friends and second family.  They knew the real Kelly and she knew them.

She loved her son Cole and was so proud of him and his accomplishments from Kindergarten through his Varsity Tennis Days at East High School.  And then, along came her grandson Carter!  He was her world.  She loved him with her whole heart and soul and loved having him jump into bed with her and snuggle with her and burrow down in the covers.  She loved hearing him giggle and sing his little songs. He loved making chocolate chip cookies and brownies with his Grandmother and tasting the dough.

Kelly attended Waverly High School and received her GED through Southeast Community College.  She was a CNA at Madonna Rehabilitation Center, Eye Care Specialties, and assisted with home care patients.  Kelly was a cheerleader at Waverly High School, loved dance classes, played the flute and the piano, was in marching and concert band and loved all kinds of music.  In younger days, she loved swimming, playing softball and volleyball.  While living in Aurora, Nebraska she was a Member of the International Order of Rainbow Girls.  She is a member of First Lutheran Church, Lincoln.
