Duane Dale Arnold, age 78, Lincoln, NE, formerly of Raymond, NE, passed away on September 10, 2022 at his home surrounded by family. He was born near Reynolds, NE to Dale and Pauline (Scheer) Arnold.He started grade school at Mahaska, KS and he attended grade school at consolidated 11. He graduated high school in 1962 from Hollenberg High School. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. After serving in the Army, Duane went to Southwest Community College in Milford, NE studying electronics. He worked for Sears in Denver, CO. He married Patricia (Brant) Arnold on September 14,1969 in Fairbury, NE. To this union Amy was born in 1970 and Kevin in 1974. They lived in Waverly, NE and then moved to an acreage by Raymond, NE. On August 22, 2022 they moved to Lincoln, NE. Duane was employed with Sears for 36 years. He enjoyed camping, boating and fishing. He enjoyed raising peacocks and a variety of pheasants. He enjoyed his apple orchard, gardening and his fish ponds. He also enjoyed the swap meets he had at his place. Duane was preceded in death by his parents Dale and Pauline Arnold.
Duane enjoyed visiting family and friends. Duane is survived by his wife, Pat and children, Amy and special friend Brad of Lincoln, NE and Kevin and wife Melissa, and grandchildren, Jaxston Arnold and Morgan, Courtney, and Jake Dunn of Urbandale, IA. Brothers, Marvin of Salina, KS and Ron Arnold (wife Nancy) of Fairbury, NE and sister, Connie Holly of Lincoln, NE, along with many nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Trump Funeral Services, 1600 West “O” Street, Lincoln, NE. Inurnment, Oak Creek Cemetery, 3230 West Mill Road, Raymond, NE with military honors. Condolences may be left at trumpmemorials.com.
