Margaret McDaniel of Lincoln went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Now in glory, she leaves behind her husband Keith, son Dale McDaniel and wife Lynn, daughter Debbie and husband Dana Ostransky, and son Jonathan McDaniel and wife Angela. She also leaves behind her many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Margaret was born in Hebron, Nebraska and spent most of her growing up years in Dawson, Nebraska where she graduated from Dawson-Verdon High School. She married Keith on May 27, 1962, and they enjoyed 61 years of marriage together. Her family remembers Margaret as a very kind, caring and loving person who was quick to tell them that she loved them. Margaret placed her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in 1981 and began her faithful walk with Him while serving at Indian Hills Community Church with her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Ardath VanWinkle, her brother Donald VanWinkle, and her sister Ann Ruenholl.
A memorial service will be held for Margaret on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Indian Hills Community Church located at 1000 South 84th Street in Lincoln, Nebraska. Rosie and I are in Arizona for the winter and will not be able to make it back for Margaret’s service on Saturday. I remember the fun times Ann & I had with you and Marg and our families over the years and that will always be a big part of my memory of Margaret.

Thanks Dave, It does seem like a carefree time when we did not think about having a bit of headache Or a bad taste in my mouth, but now I wait for the time we are together again and in the presence of Jesus Christ!
