Stanley is someone who impacted everyone’s life. Thanks for being the best father-in-law I could ever ask for. He was the most kindest and understanding grandfather the kids will ever know. No one could ever replace your presence in our lives! You will be sorely missed, but your memory will live on in our hearts . Carmen Schafer
Stan his brother Ron & mother (Marie), & father (Donald) moved into our neighborhood at 13th & Sumner sometime around the late 1940s or early 1950s.
They were a great family for my family to call friends.
My wife & my sister graduated with Stan in the class of 1964.
Stan’s father encouraged me to persue the printing trade and suggested to me to apply for an apprenticeship the Journal-Star Newspaper in Lincoln, NE.
Thus Stan & I shared the same typographical professions.
Stan will be missed as a great friend & neighbor.
Our condolences go out to all of Sanley’s family.
I met Stan when he came to Calvert Elementary School as our daytime custodian. I was the lunchroom manager, and Stan quickly became a friend to us in the lunchroom. He had a kind heart and was such a good man. Stan would join us for lunch each day and for our Christmas Party each year. He always brought a dish to share, and we exchanged gifts with him.
Stan was so proud of his family and always had pictures of his grandchildren, which he proudly shared anytime he had the chance.
Stan will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing Stan. He will always live on in my heart and memories. My sincere wish is for comfort for Linda and Stans family as you treasure your memories of this wonderful man. Peace be with you.
