James Scott “Jim” Thurber, age 65, Firth, Nebraska passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 3, 2023. Born April 23, 1958 in Lincoln, NE, he was 1 of 4 children to John and Nadine Thurber. Jim married his high school sweetheart, Cindy (Redding) Thurber, 46 years ago. He enjoyed building, working with his hands, fixing cars and being outdoors with family and friends. He had a love for NASCAR, Kansas City Chiefs, gardening, and fishing.
Jim is survived by his wife Cindy Jean Thurber (Redding) and his three kids, Jason Thurber, John Thurber and Kayla (Micah) Reehl. Grandchildren: Autum Thurber, Adalynn Thurber, Vincent Reehl, Vaida Reehl, brothers David and wife Pam, Robert and wife Bobette, Mark and wife Peg Thurber.
Celebration of Life Services will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2023 at Lincoln Firefighter’s Reception Hall, 241 Victory Lane, Lincoln. Cremation. No visitation. Condolences may be left at trumpmemorials.com. Trump Funeral Services, 1600 West “O” Street, Lincoln.
So sorry Cindy to hear about the loss of Jim , I always looked up to you and Jim as Being one of the most respected people of the group of friends that we hung out with !
