Don was a mechanic by trade. He started out working for his family owned garbage route. Later, he worked for Whitney’s Wrecker Services. Don spent over 30 years as a contract carrier for the Lincoln Journal-Star. He finished out his career for Holmes Freight Line. You could always find him surrounded by family and friends, outside, usually working on cars. He was a jack of all trades, if you needed something fixed he was on it. He always made time for friends and family. He was very passionate about working on cars and going to sprint car races.
