Mary Lois Hinman was born December 29, 1930 in Scottsbluff, NE, the 5th of 9 children of John Q Adams and Dora Ashby and passed away October 24, 2020 at her home in Lincoln, NE. She married Wellington Brock Stafford II (Bill) on September 30, 1950 and became an Air Force wife. He was killed on August 6, 1954. She raised her 3 children, James Brock Stafford, Robert Harrison Stafford II and Debra Lynn Stafford, in Scottsbluff, NE as a single mom until she remarried on March 24, 1961 to Cecil LeRoy Hinman. She gained another son, Ronald Alan Hinman, and a daughter, Pamela Jo Hinman, from this marriage.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John Q Adams and Dora Ashby, 3 brothers (Ashby V Adams, Foster Adams, and an infant brother), 2 sisters (Patricia Janet Adams and Eleanor Anne Smith), 2 husbands (Wellington Brock Stafford II and Cecil LeRoy Hinman), 1 grandson, (Glen Schnell), and 1 great grandson.
She is survived by 3 sisters, Dora Joan Lindhorst of Gering, NE, Kay Loree Dobbins (Gary) of Greeley, CO, and Ilene May McNatt of Murrieta, CA, all 5 children, James Stafford (Donna) of Derby, KS, Robert Stafford (Judy) of Spring Hill, FL, Debbie Kennedy (JW) of Western, NE, Ron Hinman of Lincoln, Pam Peterson (Danny) of Scottsbluff, NE, 19 grandchildren, numerous great grand children, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, 11-2-20 at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, 640 N. 56th Street with visitation prior to services.
