Enoch Nelson “Kelly” Kellogg was born March 28, 1931, in Friend, Nebraska, to Omer Horace Kellogg and Ellen Cedarholm Kellogg. He was the youngest of four children. The family eventually moved to Lincoln, where Kelly met Bette Jo Ann Shepard. They married on Jan. 31, 1953, and produced and directed seven children. Their union lasted 63 years, ending with Bette’s death on May 9, 2016.
Kelly was a pressman by trade, but he was also a musician. I feel so grateful to have spent so much time with my dad as I did. I will cherish the great memories we made. I love my Dad!!!!
This has made my heart sad. Kelly was so sweet and man could he play a mean Stella guitar. Loved listening to him play. May you all find inner peace and comfort in knowing that him and your mom are together again.
Aww, shucks. It’s hard being away from home and missing things. The Kellogg family is definitely a defining element of my childhood. It’s been comforting knowing ol’ Kelly Kellogg was still kickin’ it, and now a chapter has closed. Love to you all.
Love to you, Jacinda, and condolences, as well, on the loss of your grandfather Roger Welsch. You are in my thoughts.
I had many memories with betty and kelly growing up and made friendships as well. It really saddens to hear that he had passed but i will always remember him riding on his lawnmower and always saying hi. Betty and Kelly were my 2nd grandparents and treated us like family. Going to miss his smile and humor. Love you!
