Jeanne Marie Young, 55, Cortland passed away June 30, 2016. Jeanne was born April 23, 1961 to Gene & Virginia Holland Sherman.
She attended Cortland grade school, Norris High School, UNL and SCC.
Survived by daughter, Amber; Jeanne’s longtime companion Roger Coburn; many cousins.
Preceded in death by parents, grandparents, Earl & Opal Holland and Walter & Marie Sherman.

Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Trump Funeral Services, 1600 West “O” Street, Lincoln with Pastor Ray Norris officiating. Burial will be in the Cortland Cemetery. Visitation with family will be 2 pm to 4 pm Monday, July 4, 2016 at Trump Funeral Services. Condolences may be left at trumpmemorials.com.

I have know Jeanne for most my life, she was in my grade at school. I remember going to her little house, but most of all, I remember how much she loved galloping and sounding like a horse down the hallways at school. She was a fun spirit and had a kind soul. Now that you’re free of the MS, hope you are galloping once again in heaven. Rest in peace.

has wonderful family records. She was always so
helpful and we enjoyed the time we spent together.
Our grandmothers were sisters so we shared a lot
of family happenings. Jeanne was a very easy person to visit with, she shared her knowledge cheerfully.
I am so sorry to hear of Jeannie’s passing. Jeannie and my sister and I spent a lot of time together playing at Aunt Marie and Uncle George’s house and the little camper when we were little. I’ll always remember her for her sweetness, humor and love of cats! God bless you now and in the days ahead with the peace that passes all understanding.
