Gary Wayne Hill, 63, of Lincoln, formerly North Platte, died Oct. 23, 2016, in Lincoln. He was born on Dec. 26, 1952, in North Platte to C. Wayne Hill and M. Evelyn Hill, and he graduated from North Platte High School in 1971. Gary worked for Sixth Street Food Stores, Cornhusker Tractor, The Nebraskan, Little Debbie and Weavers Potato Chips in North Platte, before moving to Lincoln, where he worked for Weavers and the Department of Motor Vehicles before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his mother, who died in December 1989, and his father, who died in May 2013.
Survivors include his wife, Marylee of Lincoln; sons, Greg and Scott (Kenna) of North Platte; brother, Brian (Mary) of Overland Park, Kansas; and grandsons, Micheal of Lincoln, and Cory, Casey, Tyler and Trevor, all of North Platte.
Memorials are suggested to the family and can be directed to Christ Place Church 1111 Old Cheney Road, Lincoln, NE 68512.
Services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28, at Christ Place Church, 11th and Old Cheney, Lincoln, with pastor Nate Kroll officiating. Cremation was chosen.
