William (Bill) Edward Walck passed away on December 19, 2023, at the age of 77 in Lincoln, NE. He was born on August 26, 1946, on a farm in Centralia, Kansas. Bill and his wife Ann were joined in marriage February 13, 1981 (Friday the 13th). Bill worked as an Ink Technician for almost 35 years at Quebecor Book Publishing Company in Lincoln, NE before they closed their doors and he retired from there. He then worked a few years at Nebraska Wesleyan University in maintenance before completely retiring. Bill was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Nebraska Cornhuskers and was always excited to watch those football games and was also a huge NASCAR fan.
Bill is survived by his wife of 42 years, Anna Vae (Fullner) Walck, and his daughter Jodi Walck, both from Lincoln, NE, two granddaughters, Megan and Stephanie, five great-grandchildren, and one more on the way. Bill is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Larry and Mary Ann (Seachord) Walck from Kenesaw, NE, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Alyton and Avis Alberta (Morrison) Walck, his sister Donna (Walck) Kelley and her husband Carroll Kelley, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, and stepson Eugene Planer.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. at Down the Hatch Bar and Grill, located at 5601 NW 1st St, Lincoln, NE 68521. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to his wife, Ann, to help cover any medical bills and living expenses. Condolences may be left at trumpmemorials.com.
